Dr Veronique Desaulniers heals from breast cancer with black salve, diet changes, supplements, and detoxing therapies
Dr Veronique Desaulniers father died of pancreatic cancer and then she lost her uncle from liver/kidney cancer. The feelings of hopelessness and despair that she experienced during these troubling times began her transition to become a practitioner of natural medicine. A few years later, when her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and was treated with a lumpectomy and radiation, Dr V was able to talk her mother into following a gentle, non-toxic protocol as part of her healing plan. The following is Dr V’s own experience with breast cancer.
It was in 2004 when Dr V discovered a lump in her breast while taking a shower. She says, “I will never forget that moment when I felt “the lump” in my left breast. I immediately felt a burning pit in my stomach and felt faint. I innately knew at that time that it was not a simple fibrocystic lump.” She later had bio-energetic testing that revealed that it was cancer.
Dr V says that she felt like the “lone ranger,” trying to figure out why she had developed cancer. She says. “I had lived a clean life, ate organic before organic was even in style, had been under Chiropractic care since I was 16 years old, and I loved to run and exercise. I had home births and I had nursed all 3 of my children for 18 months each. ” She says that she searched for answers for the next 2 years and tried to connect the dots.
In her search to understand, Dr V discovered that she was severely iodine deficient, suffered from a tooth cavitation abscess, and that she had been sexually abused as a young child which had taken a toll on her emotional well-being. It should be noted that all three of these can be linked to the development of breast cancer. Since Dr V was a practitioner of natural medicine, she had witnesses firsthand the amazing changes that can occur in patients who were diligent about getting to the root causes of their “dis-ease” and then taking the appropriate steps to correct them.
Dr V says, “Since I understood that cancer cannot grow in a healthy, happy and alkaline body, I set out by applying the following principles:”
1.) Internally, she addressed these issues:
- She alkalized her body by eating a whole foods diet
- She began juicing fresh vegetables
- She detoxed with specific herbs and colonics
- She kept her electrical energy balanced with acupuncture and chiropractic care
- She took enzyme therapy
- She did emotional healing exercises which included Emotional Freedom Technique
- With the help of a qualified Biological Dentist, she had three metal fillings replaced with bio-compatible materials.
- She took herbal tinctures and homeopathics that were designed to weaken the cancer cells and build up her Immune System.
- She supplemented with iodine
2.) She applied a paste called “Black Salve” over the lump on her breast. The salve contains the herb blood root, which causes apoptosis or death to cancer cells only. The salve does not harm healthy tissue but reacts to cancer cells. This procedure creates an “eschar” or scab, which is eventually expelled along with the tumor.
Dr V applied a small amount of the salve over the tumor area as instructed and within 12 hours she felt a burning, stinging sensation. When she removed the bandage, she could see that a yellow spot was developing. She reports that the spot grew bigger and there was inflammation, swelling, and intense pain of the breast area. The wound kept spreading and in 3 weeks it was the size of a large golf ball. At that point the “tumor” began to separate around the edges and within 4 weeks the dead tissue came away from her breast. She was shocked by this, but says that she was left with a big hole, and unfortunately, she could still see some unhealthy tissue had remained within the breast (this can appear as white strands).
She later discovered that the salve she used may have been of inferior quality and was not able to remove all of the unhealthy tissue. Note from CCAR: sometimes a second application is needed to fully remove a tumor, especially when it is not near the surface of the skin.
She spent the next four weeks in pain as the wound closed up as she continued to monitor her health through the use of Thermography and other diagnostic testing. Meanwhile, she kept working on healing her body internally and hoped that these therapies would be able to turn her health around.
Two years later, in 2006, it became obvious that the tumor was once again growing so Dr V decided it was time to try black salve again. Since her first experience with the salve had been less than desirable, Dr V had taken her time to research further and had found a reputable company with success in treating thousands of cancer patients with their salve. Four weeks later, her body released the unhealthy tissue and she found there was healthy tissue in the open wound.
De V finally felt that she was on the road to recovery and had an amazing story of hope to share with other women, but does add that black salve should only be used as a last resort. This is because cancer is more than just a tumor, so curing it would involve more than simply removing a tumor, but she does accept that sometimes healing can occur faster if the tumor is removed by means of surgery or with the use of black salve paste.
